The part-time NKC Schools Early College Academy is open to students entering their junior or senior year who meet the qualification standards. Students who pursue this opportunity will attend MCC-Maple Woods or UMKC for half of the school day. Students engaged in Early College Academy are still considered full-time NKC students and are eligible for all MSHAA athletics and activities.

Class Act Coffee gives students the opportunity to run a real business with the benefit of having an experienced advisor to help. Students will gain experience collaborating with and managing others as they figure out how to best run the store. This hands on experiential learning allows students the freedom to experiment and make their own decisions regarding coffee shop workings.
